Just completed a regularly scheduled periodontal visit. Another pleasant experience. Staff is friendly and extremely professional. Kat, the hygienist who saw me, is superb. Can’t recommend her and Taylor Dentistry enough
I was desperately needing a checkup/cleaning coming off a recent mini-stroke that put me in Shands ER, and some other physical issues that could greatly benefit from a dental visit. Dr. Taylor was highly rated, so I called her office in hopes of getting someone who wasn’t booked months out (which is all too likely with dentists in general). By God’s grace, Dr. Taylor’s scheduler said there was a recent cancellation that allowed me to get in quickly (just a day or two). Coming out of some scary medical events in the last couple of years, with complicating issues like a heart condition, systemically high BP and tons of anxiety, Dr. Taylor and her assistant (Chrissy) went way above and beyond to look at my whole health background (took my BP more than once), dental concerns and options, and coordinated with an oral surgeon about a looming wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Taylor was the most patient/knowledgable dentist I’ve ever met, with a very calming demeanor, and Chrissy and the front desk staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They were able to quickly get me referred with a periodontist for further care after spending a lot of time to formulate a gameplan for my dental needs. I cannot recommend Dr. Taylor more highly. She is exceptional!

Always a 5-star experience. Cathy approaches her work with a rare blend of gentleness, and empathy. She is calming and present in every interaction, communicating clearly without jargon and meeting you right where you are. You always know she is genuinely listening, and her warmth and good humor make every visit a pleasure. I was one of her first patients, and I have to say these same qualities have been with her the whole way. Professional, respectful, knowledgeable, experienced, skillful, focused, and kind. I would recommend her to anyone.

The best dental experience I’ve ever had!
Daily oral hygiene is essential to keeping your mouth clean and healthy. But as important as brushing and flossing are, they aren’t enough on their own to protect your teeth and gums. General dentistry covers a wide range of treatments designed to help you prevent and detect dental problems, so you can keep your oral health on track.
Brushing with a toothpaste that contains fluoride at least two times a day is essential in preventing cavities, as is daily flossing. Limiting the amount of sugary or highly acidic foods in your diet is also helpful. If you’re unable to brush after meals, rinsing out your mouth with water is a good way to help wash away the food debris and bacteria that cause cavities. Ask your dental team about fluoride and sealants, two treatments that can make your teeth less cavity-prone.
Fluoride, a mineral found in many foods and water, helps prevent cavities by making your tooth enamel stronger. It can even reverse early-stage decay. Since it contributes to the development of healthy teeth, children under 12 may benefit from fluoride treatment. In addition, cavity-prone adults may benefit as well. Ask us about fluoride if you have dry mouth, gum disease, or wear braces or other orthodontia.
